From the moment James picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and began exploring his Dad’s record collection, his love for music blossomed. Influenced by iconic figures like Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Mr. Big, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai, he has acquired outstanding technical knowledge.

James’ journey as a performer began back in 2009 in his hometown of Swan Hill, Victoria. In 2015, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and has since been actively involved in live shows. Currently, he performs with renowned acts such as Fennec, Duxie Franklin, Sarah Light, and Orion Haze.

Over the years he has consistently honed his craft through practise and performance, including a memorable gig at Pure Gold Live 2016 for Gold 104.3 FM. Sharing the stage with esteemed artists like Richard Clapton, Shane Howard, and Dale Ryder, James’ extensive experience and exceptional guitar skills have made him an invaluable teacher here at iROCK.
