You’ll learn to release your inner rock star through practise, patience, persistence and passion and rapidly improve your technique and playing ability using our internationally recognised 1234 iROCK Method.

1

Focuses on single root notes / bass notes or simply keeping time.

2

Moves on to 2 - 3 note chords, power chords, or use of 2 drum parts.

3

Progresses to 3 - 4 note chords, triads or use of 3 drum parts.

4

Teaches parts closest to the real song. Open chords, full bar chords, left and right hand keyboard technique or the standard rock beat.

Lessons that makes sense

Lessons at iROCK Music School are built around our students’ enjoyment, favourite songs, goals and interests. Combined with our expert knowledge our approach to lessons are flexible but structured. In a lesson, our students could expect to:

  • Review previous work and practise habits
  • Be inspired by their teacher
  • Identify a lesson focus
  • Explore and ask questions
  • Play for most of the lesson (at least 80%)
  • Self-assess
  • Reflect on learning
  • Receive quality teacher feedback
  • Plan for success by setting weekly goals
  • Finish the lesson strong by playing music they love!

The kind of content our guitar students may cover includes songs, style, technique, technical exercises, improvisation, composition, aural/listening skills and music theory.
